I exported a wav from from RC (all tracks) and when opening in Sound Forge it shoes up as some kind of text file and has an extension .mid(?).

if i type an extension of .wav after the filename than it works okay. is this a feature or a bug? I haven't exported a wav from RC since v2.9.

I don't know, it works for me with the latest beta version.
You CAN save the file with .mid extension, but the program always offers .wav first in the filename.
Even after saving as .mid, next time .wav is used.
So I am not sure what happened. Can you reproduce it?

I want use the delay phrase variation. I use 1 Beat delay because often it sound good for modification, when delay the sequence 1 beat right a rest is in and truncate at end 1 beat. But it happen in RC, when i use delay the phrase get longer, so it overlap the following phrase. is it possible easy to add that delay can truncate so the Phrase get not longer and i need not with mouse move phrase shorter ?
also maybe more find it usefull if the truncate 1 beat from end is wrap to the beat gap in front. so its possible to roll a sequence.

very good request! Good ideas come during using things.
I'll shortly add a 'truncate' option to Delay, and a new 'Rotate Notes' variation (just like rotating bits in assembly rather than shifting bits ).

v3.1b8 is available!

Dear friends,
a new beta version is available now.

Improvements:

• Track templates added. Save complete tracks and restore them from the browser.
• New setting: "Export Chords As MIDI Markers" (when exporting MIDI files)
• 'Expression' default value is 100 instead of 90
• Midi file name is displayed for dropped midi file instead of "midi"
• Ctrl+Shift+click can be used on the Master track to select a chord box even if clicked on the chord name
• Fixed wrongly working "Keep harmonic rhythm" option in the Idea Tool
• Internal changes

The only thing that was forgotten is the setting for the track templates folder. I just realized it now. It is saved in RapidComposerV3/TrackTemplates by default.

may i get a clue where is this option ? / what it does ?

When you use a chord rule to make a progression you can leave the rhythm of chords intact:



Generating multiple progressions does not influence the position and length of the chords, only the chords themselves.
