First, here is an example setup:
GROUP 1
-instrument track 1
-instrument track 2
GROUP 2
-instrument track 3
-instrument track 4
I would like to map midi trigger 1 to arm both instrument tracks 1&2. Then I'd like to arm midi trigger 2 to arm instrument tracks 3&4.
It seems that if I arm the group track itself, I can't pass the notes to the child tracks. Also in this case, both instrument track 1 and 2 would have different midi input (or audio input, it shouldn't matter).
The only way I can think of is that I map midi trigger 1 to arm both tracks and trigger 2 to art tracks 3&4, but this means the trigger won't be exclusive and I have to first de-arm the other tracks. This is hussle on stage.
I can't use "arm exclusive" since I'm arming multiple tracks.
Is there some trick when using groups tracks that I miss here, related to arming the child tracks? Is there some settings that would arm all child tracks when I select the parent group track?
Any other ideas?

Huh, this is easy if I just map the on/off-buttons of the devices on the tracks directly. But would still prefer the track-based solution. Also, would keep the mapping simplier.
