Best Guitar Amp Simulator for Low-Power Computer?

Hi There,
I am trying to figure out which amp simulator would be best to use on a computer with limited resources. I would like to install one on my Windows tablet (32 bit OS) just for laying down ideas. Maybe one of the older ones that hasn't been updated in a while, such as Studio Devil? I can also install EZMix and use some of their amp sims for this purpose. Any thoughts or experiences that my esteemed colleagues might have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I can't say how they run with limited resources, but you could try the free LePou amps (download links are on the right hand side).
Ignite Amps have some amps and a good IR loader for cabinet impulse responses.
Being free, you can give them a try and find out how they sound/run without spending anything.
I guess there's also Guitar Rig if you have that.

TH3 seems horribly underrated for what it offers: amazing tone at low CPU. Okay, maybe the GUI struggles a bit, but add some high quality IRs ala 3 Sigma Audio and this amp simulator cannot be beat

Camel crusher and fuzz plus are pretty good for distortion

Voxengo Boogex was recently updated. It's an excellent freebie.

Sure can At a higher CPU, though. But yeah it's not the most realistic one out there, as far as I'm concerned.blueman wrote:but add some high quality IRs ala 3 Sigma Audio and this amp simulator cannot be beat

LePou's amps really pretty, the gui....absolutely attracted!
But the tone seems too filtered, especially noticed when you use Neck pickup.
Hope the dev aware about that and do some update.
While, Igniteamps is a real killer! One among the best!
