Okay, so like I made a fast song, and I'm not even sure what 'genre' it is? I listed it as 'Breakbeat', but I fused D&B, Jungle, Hardcore, and Ethnic beats together for a pretty weird and wild rythem. Here's a direct link (I think?) http://www.soundclick.com/util/bandradi ... 89&s=s.mp3

If that doesn't work, can you please click my link below and select 'Pakistani Factory' from the Music area. It's best played in 'Hi-Fi' mode for the full effect.

And if anyone thinks this should be under D&B, IDM, Hardcore or anything other than Breakbeat - I'd appreciate your comments greatly. I'm just an old fart who wanted to go fast, and after chugging a can of Metamucil and 2 bowls of Raisin Bran - this is the BPM that gets me to the church on time.

although fast, there's a demented calmness to this song. I friggin love it man. it's like fast but in slow motion. I worship thee Monsieur West.

Definitely showing your teeth in this song.

The tempo's at 156BPM, and in this day of age would be an unusual tempo? Jungle's usually at around 160-165BPM, Speed Garage is like 140-150BPM, and Drum and Bass I'm not sure about anymore?

I did the ol' Squarepusher trick of taking a few 78BPM jazz beats and 'speeding them up' to 156BPM, and also took a few Jungle beats and dragged them down to 78BPM. Added my own beats using sounds from a dislocated MU100R (Yamaha and their low-temp solder!

) Krakli's latest EffEm synth with my own 'Theif' preset for the bass line. (patting my back

) Orions Ultran and WaveFusion and samplers, and lastly - a plethora of SmartElectronix gear (Mad Shifta, Buffer Override, Skidder, EQ Sync, etc.) I actually had to 'hand draw' each pitch change for Mad Shifta in Orion for precise transitions - OUCH!

It's the little things that mean alot.

Ethno-trial? Drum & Grind? Hardcalm? Throw me a freakin' bone to work with here!

And rather mild it is even though the beat is pushing it up and up. Quality production of the heavy percussion, and missing that final magic ingredient to tie it all together. What that exactly is I don't know either, but I am thinking of a high note melody as the emphasis seems to now lie on the low frequencies.

The stuttering break, as good as it is seems a bit separated hearing how it jumps above the tracks level.

I hear you Mystahr, a little too much with the Skidder there I agree.

And needs something more too. I like the little horn addendum at the end, but I agree the song is lacking somehow? Just have to find that little 'twist'.

But Mildcore is a good one Jeez!
