It wasn't meant as a tip, exactly. :? I'm surprised you're not familiar with Camouflage, because it sure sounds like you were trying to emulate them! I would check out the first two albums: Voices and Images, and Methods of Silence. :)

About your vocals again- How many vocal tracks are in your song, by the way? And did you double them, or just one take per harmony?

Lol Deastman! you'd be surprised when you hear this, but I have heard almost no electro pop myself, and was guessing most of the style when i made it so i'm very surprised to hear ppl say i head the genre dead on.. I listen to and love alot of electronic music and pop music, so it must have mixed in my head to make electro-pop all by itself lol! You all spur me on to do more in this style!

Vocals: in the chorus there is always one harmony on top of the main melody, then at every end of the phrase there is a subtle higher 3rd harmony. I found that keeping the harmonies subtle really is the key to nice harmonies in this style. Or maybe i just really like it that way. For too long i found myself wanting the harmonies to be heard note for note too much, and my harmonies started immediately sounding better when i started making them more subtle. Hope that helps!

Seilsynth: thanks for uncovering that for me!

woolyloach: glad you found it listenable :D

Eric Bourne: lol doesn't france like electro-pop? Btw Autotune = Antares Autotune 3.x

To me sounds that the mix focused mainly on the high-mids & low-highs. I lack a bit of audible (low/deep) bass, could be my system. I do find the vocals a bit sharp and there is another sound that is sort of sharp, I think it’s in the drums but I am not sure.
There are some nice sounds in here, the vocals sound cool but overall it is not really a refreshing / innovative track, which is a shame…

love it! :phones: I wish I could hold a tune long enough to sing a melody (even with autotune) and make tracks like that...

(not really a criticism, but I noticed that the sound quality wasn't that great which surprised me seeing the encoding rate was 192. The high frequencies sound a bit distorted, as if you'd only used 8-bit samples on the drums etc. Just thought I'd point it out in case you hadn't noticed)

Cool track dude.
I don't like: the snare sound.
I like: your work on vocals. Very impressive.
Bye and keep up the good work.

Indeed quite the impressive tune, especially that synth lead in the beginning. The vocals sound quite allright in the mix, but I'd suggest going for the vocoder sound even more in the chorus to give it more electro feel.

Very smooth tune that got me moving here :)

Welcome to KvR btw

austere: I'm glad you pointed that out the bass is somewhat overwhelmed by the high end. Bass has been my weak point for some time, I'm working on it though! :D I think vocals need De-esser i'm not sure if thats what you found 'sharp'. But thankyou for your honest feedback.

Jbravo: Thanks for the encouragement! Hrmm interesting note there about the sound quality. I am maybe guessing I pushed the mastering limiter too hard which may have distorted the high end audibly. I'll listen over and try to pinpoint that though. Thanks for letting me know.

playtoy: lol I've had others tell me about that snare sound. I guess its taste though, I would agree its not 100% though! Thanks for the kind words..

Mystahr: My NEXT song will have vocoder. Lol its funny this song would have had vocoder if i worked out how to get waveshell on waves plugs working. But alas, the next electro-pop track will have vocoder i think.

Thanks for listening everyone :) hope i didnt bore u with my long replies.. :P
