So you know how there are multiple samples recorded for the articulations? (an amazing feature)

It sounds to me like Shreddage will cycle through those samples even as you play different notes.

In some instances, in this case during a lead guitar solo, there is one sample that I really like. It has a nice round smooth tone to it.

Is there any way I can have Shreddage select and stick to that specific sample during the performance?

Thanks!

To my knowledge... no.
But you can record it and put the wave on the table.
One way or another, you can't deny death.

Thanks for your response man, I appreciate it. But I don't understand. Put the wave on the table?

well, it's easier said than done for a "large bank" of samples.
But let's go small scale to help you understand better.
Let's say you wanted to have a specific "pinch squeal" sample to be played...
But Shreddage keeps on shuffling the available samples.
You'd record that specific sample (using Edison in FL, which I think is what you're using)
Then you'd put that sample on the playlist where you want to be played.
(You can either record the sample as is, with the Post-Process FXs OR clean and then route the recorded sample thru the same FX chain.. works both ways, choose which works best for you.)

Voila.
Now if you wanna do this large scale, it might work but I doubt it's going to work in your favor.
It would require a lot of editing to make it work properly.
