beautifull synthz sound in here glasback. tune is in 90's way, very beaatifull and spatial. though i don't know why is a good thing to get away from "BUM BUM BUM", you know when you programing drums is so easy to put the kick here or there. i don`t mean this tune needs a 4/4 at all i mean 4/4 is not the "law" but is just another valid option

This is a real mixed-bag of sounds, and good for all that. There are some real gems of moments in here, but before all that, let me get this off me chest – I don’t like that drum fill. There. I said it.

The rest of the percussion is really cool. Some wicked mixing of loops and the whizzing FX really work well.

Spooky, funny and ‘What the f**k was that(ty)?’ in equal measures. Girlfriend gave it the frown treatment, so it must be cool.

Liked the drum/percussion sounds, but the beats had a kinda start/stop feel that stopped the track flowing as a whole. nice tune tho, had a bit of an oriental feel in places.

About the drums.
The main kit that runs most of the way through the tune isn't actually a kit but are synthesised sounds with other bits of kits (crashes, a couple of hats, distorted kick etc) playing in, out and around it. Just an experiment in a different way of working for me.
Yes, it sounds - not cheap, but LoFi which is what I wanted.
And no Krim, they don't run all the way through. The stoppy / starty thing is the Hop element of the description. I'm not trying to do tarnce or techno here, more a spacey epic kind of thing.
Or, to put it another way, LoFi-Ambient-Dub-Hop.
If you get into rubbernecking to the tune, it works pretty well, I think.

Miro, by drum fill, I guess you mean the tom roll that comes in now and again.
I've trimmed it right back - it was in far more often, but now it's just like every 8 bars or less, except the centre section where I feel it didn't work when I took it out from there, so I put it back again.

But overall, thanks to the general input here, the tune's been restructured since it's first posting - for the better imo - and at the moment, I'm pretty happy with it.
Which actually doesn't happen very often.
I really think it's different to my other stuff, personally (more tuneful, if you like).

So thanks for the input, this tune has now gone into the "don't bother to open it in Orion anymore cos there's other tunes to concentrate on that need finishing" file.
