So instead I wrote a ditty - a kinda commercial pop tune with a hint of Phil Collins style horns, and more than a hint of My Funny Valentine (based the chord changes loosely on it). Decided to call it My Funky Valentine until I did a Google and found that the Thompson Twins already did that.
Anyhoo. The tune is done... now all is left for lyrics/vocals some re-programming on the drums, possibly a couple of extra horn licks, adding some variation to the guitar line, tighten everything up and some serious mixing (hmmm, practically everything then!).
What I have is a compressed like hell really badly mixed arrangement at www.richiebee.ca/mfv.m3u . If anyone would like to add some lyrics and a melody line(remember the title is only a working one, though if poss I'd like it to maybe rhyme with my funny valentine), get in touch.
