Well, one I did over the summer, and the other one isn't done yet, but that wouldn't fit into the subject line.

The first song is called Ambience, and I did it over the summer. It was originally a 5.1 mix made in DP, but I mixed the whole thing again in Tracktion (mostly just panning and volume changes, but I also replaced the plugins. I used Waves plugins in DP, and now I'm using mostly the Classic Series and Ambience for reverb (ironic, no?

). Sounds are coming from Reason. A couple Subtractors, a little Dr. Rex, NN-XT for the Rhodes, and also the Malstrom.

The second song isn't complete and doesn't have a title, but I'm stuck, and I was hoping some comments could get me going again. I'm going to do some more work on the drums that are there right now, but mostly I just don't know where the song should go from here. I'm probably not going to take anyone's advice, but hearing someone say how much it sucks will help me out a great deal.

Edit: It'd help to add a link, wouldn't it?

I know there's not much you can really do about it, but I'm getting some really slow dl speeds off that site ... around 3 kbs.

Strange... I just downloaded "Needs a title" in about 15 seconds. Around 250 kilobytes/sec. In fact, I've never had much of a problem with Soundclick's download speeds.

Just out of curiosity, what other hosts do you guys use for posting music? I just used Soundclick because I had heard of it before, and it's free.

ah, nevermind, it's faster now. Their server was probably being bombarded when I tried (and OS sites are almost always slower for me, but then the range of australia-based sites are limited anyway

).

those are dead lush. Really nice stuff, love those melodies, especially that one in the chorus, very nice. Awesome stuff

Now all we need is Sinead O'Connor singing over the top of it ...

Now for "Needs a Title" ...

Mmm, jungle ... Excellent atmospheres. Sorry, but I like this! It's got tha funk

Ok, maybe the break over at 3'01" is kinda lonely ... I think it could use something to keep some interest, or go into a pads break at the end. In any case, the abrupt ending was a little disapointing ... Don't you have any loving left?

Good stuff overall, keep it up

i've only listened to ambience as yet, on a tight schedule, but there's some really great movement and sound in it. it reminds me of 'the high llamas' circa their 'cold and bouncy' album, though alittle less quirky, and alittle smoother. i hope the other tunes have this too.
