1. How is it possible to test the Professional features?
Should they work after activating "Use TX16wx Pro Features" in the settings page?
On my system it does nothing.

2. In a former thread (Jun 05, 2020) you mentioned that "Visualising the full path of waves is probably not a bad idea. Will not do it now though."
I am not sure how to understand your statement.
Does it mean this will never happen?

3. Using a 3440 x 1440 display resolution, the font size is too small for me.
Beside of scaling up Windows, is there a way to get bigger fonts?

Thanks for your work.

1.) Turning on pro features will run with pro features. If you used is too much, you will get a lengthy nag. But it will still run.
2.) You have context menu for waves, programs, matrices etc "go to file" which will navigate the file browser to the file location. Should be sufficient.
3.) First off, try using a host that supports HDPI. TX scales with application DPI. If this is still not enough, try using the "large fonts" skin.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

1. I only activated the pro feature a few times, I guess then that it should work.
But for some reasons that I dont understand I am unable to make the FX work.
I can choose a FX, select an output, turn both wet and dry buttons but I hear no effect at all :-(
I wonder what I am missing there.
BTW I use Cubase 11 Pro on Windows and the VST3

2. Ah ok, nice!
I did not notice this.
Yes indeed you are right it is more than sufficient :)

3. I find only a "small font skin", I assume then that the default skin has the biggest font.
Since recently Cubase support HDPI scaling and I already have Cubase scaled up.
Still I would prefer a bigger font size for TX16Wx.
I have seen that one can skin TX16Wx but it looks very complicated.

1.) You need to send slots/groups/sounds blocks to the FX busses for them to produce any sound. You can also route output directly to a FX bus if you want to use it more as an insert.
3.) Hm, maybe I remember wrong. But you can check out the small_font skin then. It is very uncomplicated.
Just change the contents to something like:

Code: Select all

@import url("default.skin")

* {
   font: 14;
}
or whatever. Default is 12pt. Small uses 10, a large would obviously adjust upwards.

Thanks again for your answer, much appreciated.

1. Ah, I have now found it!
Great.

I now still have to understand how the FX tab in the "Sounds window works.
BiQ, SVF and Uni are working but not the FX tab.
I mean I cannot choose or type or edit anything in this tab.
How is this supposed to work?

3. OK, I must study this deeper.

The FX tab in sound settings allow you to route to any of three busses, as well as add an insert effect to the sound block. The params can be modulated.
