I wrote script to create drum kits - it scans directories with samples and prints config for importing into Speedrum full and lite (speedkit and speedk). It tries to guess drum type from its file name e.g. SD_ClHat_Gentle.flac is Closed Hi Hat (MIDI note 42), SD_Snare_Transistor.flac is Snare (MIDI note 38) and so on. Don't try it on very big directories, I mean 100 samples is ok but not 20000 and you don't really need so big kit.
Tested on free drum samples from Musicradar, Slate, Bespoke Live, 5Pin media, Elephant, freepats and some others. I have only Linux but it should work everywhere.

Cool!
C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES.
