Zebra STEREO Side Chain?

Hello Urs

I'm searching for a plugin that supports STEREO side chaining. I've read about Zebra's interesting capabilities regarding using a side chain input as an oscillator source. Is this in stereo? Or can I even use two oscillators (mono/stereo) with two different side chain inputs?
Please let me know.

Regards

Tom

Hello
You can download the manual and read the Zebra´s oscillators chapter.

"Audio in: If the input is stereo and voicing is set to single, osc1 takes the left signal and osc2 takes the right signal."

Yep!

Osc1 and Osc3 take left side
Osc2 and Osc4 take right side

(this way you can easily use the "Osc Mix 1/2" (3/4 respectively) parameters for panning effects etc.)

There's a factory preset called something like "stereo haxie" which can be used as a template. It has the Oscs, the Grid and Mixers all set up for stereo filtering.

One thing: As the input is a source for oscillators, which are a part of the synth voices, it is necessary to actually play notes to hear something.

Cheers,

Wink Urs

Thank you for your fast answers.
Very Happy
Cool! It really works in Stereo!
Just tried out the demo version. Great Synth, my compliments!

But when I used it in conjunction with Morph from Prosoniq, unfortunately it gave me an Midi/Audio synchronisation error. Is this caused by Zebra or by Morph. Question
I would love to use them together, since this would open up another dimension of sound design!
Let me know...

Hehe, thanks Very Happy

Regarding the Midi/Audio sync errors... how fast is your machine? - How much cpu does Zebra consume, and how much does Morph use up?

Does it work better when you close some of the editor windows? - I just discovered that editor windows doing a lot of updates (VU meters etc.) can lead to drop outs.

What does Morph do for you? I might have something in the works that does pretty much the same thing at lower cpu consumption Wink

Ok, again I expected to much from my "old" G4 Embarassed
I've set the buffer up to 256, it was previously set at 128. That caused the trouble. Smile

It is an Dual 1 Ghz, 1,25 GB Ram, osx 10.3.6, Logic Pro 7, RME Multiface...
AND IT WORKS !!! (rubbing my hands) Very Happy

Hhmm, you're saying that you might come up with another goodie from your kitchen...
I have a good appetite! Very Happy
Mainly I'm morphing Drums, because you quickly get nice fresh drum sounds doing this. But now I can try a lot more! Cool

Thanks Urs - you're great!
