I dunno - maybe this is user error, but this is what's happening.
This is in Bidule. I don't see any way to save a Filterscape preset within Filterscape - am I missing it? You need to do it from the host. However, this option seems grayed out in Bidule for Filterscape, and when I reopen the session, the Filterscape patch is not saved, and all of my work is lost. what is the procedure for saving presets successfully? |

Weird! This must be a bug in Bidule. Some of the beta testers had similar problems with Logic 6.4. I assume it is, because Filterscape doesn't have so called Factory Presets. These are the ones that you can't change and that usually appear in extra drop down menus. However, as hosts obviously nowadays can't handle presets reliably, I'll add Factory Presets and a preset management for the gui. As always, I'm pretty confident that the problem will be solved in the final release version. Cheers, |

I'm confident things will work by then too...
but I'm frustrated that apparently I can't use Filterscape in my 2 favorite hosts because of issues saving my presets.....of course the frustration is primarily because I like using the software so much. oh well, I have Logic 7, so I suppose I'll have to use it if I want to use Filterscape and save... |

I'll contact them. I've just been in Random Heaven. Bidule's Random function creates so many weird patches, it's unbelievable. I mean, none is useful, but many let Filterscape produce sound on its own, with bubbling and screaming self oscillation noises. I think R2-D2 would love it Cheers, |

Ok now. - I got answers from Plogue.
In order to be able to save presets in Bidule, you have to use the "User Preset" that is at the end of the presets list. D'oh... Now, the settings are properly saved with the song, but Bidule has a bug in that it opens the first preset and overwrites the settings I'll be working close with them to get that fixed asap. Cheers, |

Cheers, Great - yeah - I tried it - it's pretty much as you described. You have to load the user preset in order to save, and then in order to access it again you have to go through this elaborate procedure of loading it, then choosing it from the menu. But, then you can't save it because it's no longer the 'user' preset. Fun. I will try my Numerology 1.4.2 again today and report if I experience the same issues I did the other day. |
