There are some great resources with original E-mu libraries (from disk, ROM and CD-ROM) available on the web, both free and paid for, and although *some* have been made available as SF2 files, there are a load which are not - and it would be brilliant if TX16Wx was able to import them directly.
The structure seems have .EXB files with the preset information and .EBL files as the sets of samples. There are conversion tools (paid for) that can open these formats and convert them to, for example SF2, SampleTank or Halion Sonic formats, which would allow a two-stage conversion, but a direct import of these libraries (if it is feasible) would be, I believe, a great addition - maybe even only on the paid-for version.
Examples of free sources that seem readily available are https://archive.org/details/emuexbsoundbanks

EMU bank formats are not documented, at least I have never managed to find any format spec for them. If you have a format spec available, please send it to me, and I will consider it. But without that it would require some very tedious trial-and-error reverse engineering.

Found the following https://github.com/misaim/ebl-reading which seems to go into a reasonable amount of detail - would this be enough, or would you need more information to make it feasible? I'll continue to do look around to see if I can find anything else.
And maybe anyone else who might be interested could also see whether they can find any specs/details around the format.

That only covers actual samples. While possibly useful, it seems like a very niche format unless the actual banks can be imported as well. Again, any information is accepted gratefully.
