Hello friends!

I am looking for an online acoustic guitar course for beginners to learn how to play the guitar, I would like to know if you all have any recommendations, etc.

Thanks in advance,
Luciano

+1 for Justin, really good course for traditional guitar playing. Follow the curriculum and put in the practice hours, and you will learn to play songs.

Unfortunately total waste of time for playing experimental extreme metal (sludge/stoner doom) as literally none of the stuff I learnt in the first year applies in any way nor helps me towards my actual musical goals. Course was still fun and enjoyable tho.

Troy Stetina books for rock and metal.

If you are into full shred flatpicking I highly recommend Troy Grady

Though you will need to have the fundamentals of keys and chord progressions, scaling, and arpeggios before starting your journey.

I also recommend TrueFire, I have quite a few lessons from their catalogue.
They have regular sales and $5 offers.

"Ravi's Learn Guitar in 21 Days" is currently on sale for $7.49

My TrueFire referral code is below, it will give $30 free TrueFire Cash to the user and me when used.

When you start wanting to learn songs Marty Schwartz is the OG guitar Youtuber. Even as an old guitar vet I've used a couple of his vids to cheat instead of just learning by ear.

I'm starting to learn Guitar (Electric) and started with this software:
https://store.emediamusic.com/products/ ... tar-method

I had a good experience learning Piano with their software and this one seems mostly very good. But be aware that it has problems with Mac, so I use it with Windows (so make sure you choose the right version). I found 10% discount code in the net (they supposed to send you one in email, but never arrived! So, I searched the net). The price for the Beginner level is $45 with the discount code.

I also bought a bunch of books (e-books). I don't recommend Amazon Kindle because the books are in small fonts and not good quality. Instead, I bought from Google Play Books:

I also like Alfred's books. I had good learning experience with Piano Method series, so I hope it would be the same with the Guitar.

I tried out a few.

Many, many people will recommend Justin and with good reason - you'll probably find yourself using his site and resources a lot even if you find other courses you like.

I really wanted Paul David's course to be great but for absolute beginners I think it is perhaps hit or miss in that it might be too intermediate-biased. But the production values are top notch and Paul is of course fun to watch.

Rob Scallon's beginner course (GuitarQuest) was really cute and fun but in the end I would say it was too slow and beginner-biased in that it just doesn't seem to cover as much.

So for me, I kept cancelling the other courses and going back to Justin. YMMV.
