Where can I find the most comprehensive info on how Kontakt7 database is organized ?
Those who are familiar with VST programming - do any other databases are used for plugins than SQLite ?

As far as I know it's a closed binary format, so the info you're looking for is officially not public.aklisiewicz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 3:41 am Where can I find the most comprehensive info on how Kontakt7 database is organized ?
A simple google search might lead you somewhere though
Not much... SQL is a too heavy tool for VST plugins. They require not much more than simple key-value property files, perhaps xml documents or json.aklisiewicz wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 3:41 am Those who are familiar with VST programming - do any other databases are used for plugins than SQLite ?
But if you're interested in data formats of sample libraries, then give this site a go:

unless they've changed things recently, I'm not sure they even bother with a persistent database: Kontakt scans the NKS preference files at startup, which can be a bit painful it you have a lot of them.
that's on Mac, but I believe it's similar on windows, just using the registry there instead to store the library deets.
