I was looking at expansion packs for waveform free, and I'm slightly confused, i hope anyone here can clear my doubts
1. The MIDI expansion pack says it's compatible with WF12 Free, so will it work with WF13 Free?
2. If i buy an expansion pack, lets say the Clip Launcher, will i have to buy it again for every subsequent major version of WF or is it a one time purchase that'll work with future versions?
How do expansion packs work?

It works from the plug-in that the expansion pack relates to. It's the plug-in that needs to read the file(s) in the expansion pack, not Waveform itself.

Yes, to be honest, waveform free is perfectly fine for me and these are some good to have stuff. I really can't afford to get waveform pro and subsequent major versions every two years since I live in India and 200 dollars is 2 or 3 months of rent or equivalent here. I really want to get something from Tracktion since i have been using waveform/tracktion for some years now and want to give it back for making something awesome for free. So i was wondering if the expansions are thr way to go because if its a one time purchase, it will be a no brainer

I hear you... same thing happens here in Argentina... but... If you're looking into buying USD100 worth of expansions, I'd recommend to wait for a sale, you might get the PRO version for less than USD100 and get all the features, plus... However, if expansions are a one time purchase, i would prefer it since i’m not sure if i could afford to keep upgrading every time but waiting for sale makes sense.
