How to make this powerfull eurodance synth bass?

It seems to me that it is not a typical bass but more of a lead playing in a low octave, but its sound is powerful for me,
I'm not sure if they used the so-called layering leads or spread it over, for example, two octaves. The sound seems slightly metallic to me, so it may also be FM synthesis.

I have prepared a flp and midi file that should sound more or less like the original song.

Have you tried a slap bass or guitar preset from a 90s keyboard with the transient squashed out of it?
