Maxwell smart keeps crashing FL, so im stuck with FL limiter followed by barricade.
I think i would rather let it clip than pay over £50 for a limiter. Even freebies can get me up to commercial levels when the track is mixed right

Another great free limiter is LoudMax, try it._al_ wrote:Maxwell smart keeps crashing FL, so im stuck with FL limiter followed by barricade.

I personally use DMG TrackLimit which is £39.99 and a fine and versatile limiter. I would love to have Pro-L 2, but unfortunately it's out of my budget.
It's easy if you know how

Is the DMG keyfile protection, or am i enslaved to a website?

Oh nice! that's a pleasant change. I'll check it out, thanks.
I wish i wasn't bothered by such things, but i can't help feeling i'm just "renting" a plugin, with all the other protections.
Each to their own i suppose

I actually have no need, but it's silly not to check out a recommendation. ThanksVortifex wrote:If you're on the hunt for a good free limiter try Sonic Anomaly's Unlimited: https://sonic.supermaailma.net/plugins
I personally use Barricade 4 the most.I have TDR's limiter which is very good but I don't use it much for some reason. Barricade is rock solid, best ISP suppression of any limiter I've tried, if that's important to you.

Loudmax, Unlimited and Vlad G Limiter No. 6 (not the TDR, I'm poor) are my main limiters, I just wonder why Unlimited isn't as transparent as it should be.Vortifex wrote:If you're on the hunt for a good free limiter try Sonic Anomaly's Unlimited: https://sonic.supermaailma.net/plugins

LoudMax is kind of the standard in the free 'market'. Chuck the guy a few quid.Lesha wrote:Another great free limiter is LoudMax, try it._al_ wrote:Maxwell smart keeps crashing FL, so im stuck with FL limiter followed by barricade.

George's W1 is good too.
Aradaz Mazimizer is still a winner if you want 0 latency limiting:
http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=1394
TbT TubeLimit is also 0 latency:
http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?pl ... er&id=1286
So is Antress ModernDynaKiller:
http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=1179
And NastyVCS:

We'll leave the argument of 0 latency limiting for another day shall we?
LoudMax is a great track Limiter for drums. But Aradaz is really great as well if you really need 0 latency.

Personally, depending on the genre, I have three paid Limiters that I reach for by default because of the great results I've gotten from them. L2, L3-16, and the Ozone (8) Maximizer.
Non-genre specific and free, VST-wise, I would give it to Limiter6.
