Two new patches in this track, multisampled Oud vibrati with 3x round robin and multisampled up/down slides with 2x round robin. Several snapshots from both patches were used in 5 instances of Alchemy altogether.

Here is a rather spooky and dark demo, combining two patches from Aqualignum, one of them using long samples of playing the waterphone standing on a timpani (Waterphone Timpani Duet), in case you have some subwoofers, enjoy!

Hello, I have been playing Aqualignum for a couple of hours since yesterday, and... what can I say? The "usual" amazing quality of all Simon's releases is here again.

Playing the oud is such a pleasure; a virtual acoustic instrument that stands out alone, as a solo voice, and tell a story on its own.
Many "aquatic" soundscapes/textures, are programmed with deep care in Alchemy's remix pad, to make them musically alive.
But... all demos speak better than me...

This is not any Aqualignum review, it's just (another) "Thank You" to Simon!

Thank you for the feedback, Matteo, what a nice thing to read on a Sunday morning after just returning from the hospital, where I was treated on some strange allergic shock reaction...(nuts/Muesli???)

Nice to read, how you characterize the oud sound, I had the same feeling when sampling/programming it and I can spend hours myself improvising with the oud patches...

Hello Simon,
hope you are well now. Allergies are such an unknown mistery and I know too, so well. I carefully read each food label of anything I buy since then...

And, yes, the oud is so expressive, very inspiring. The blend with the waterphone soundscapes makes it very easy to say "uao! I got something already!".
Think I'll be using it in my upcoming theater performance about primitive sardininan civilization stories, which will be performed in one month here in north Sardinia, where I actually live.

All my warm best whises to you. :)
