So, in Windows 10, Bitwig won't continue to have a white titlebar?! WOOOHOO!!!TeotiGraphix wrote:It's because in 1.2 they are using transparent windows with custom titlebars that are part of Bitwig's UI and you cannot have transparent windows in a non areo theme.Tearing Riots wrote:Bitwig dropped support for non-aero and xp some months ago. Didn´t find it in the changelog though.
Not sure if this fixes it but there´s a good chance and you could try before contacting support.

Well I don't know the specifics but, I think i recall Windows not offering those themes any more which means they have gone to transparent chrome, I don't know for sure.bcgreen24 wrote:Actually, now that I think about it, wasn't Aero a Windows 7 thing? I'm on Windows 8-- and there are no Aero settings...

I do know that Bitwig completely changed it's chrome to internal and they are not using native OS chrome in 1.2.

Looking at those images you have, it's like Bitwig isn't loading/reading icons for some reason. Like it some permission issue for reading the directory.bcgreen24 wrote:Oh-- and I'm already using the most current driver for my graphics card.
But you already said you worked out permissions, doesn't seem you could launch the application and not have it read files in it's own directory though.

Yeah, I'm running Bitwig as Administrator, and I've also tried running the compatibility troubleshooter with no luck. The last thing I can think of to try is to set the permissions on the BitWig folder as wide as possible (i.e., 'Full Control' for 'Everyone') as a test to see if it is a perms thing....
***UPDATE*** set wide open permissions on Bitwig folder in 'Program Files (x86)' and in the AppData/Local folder-- no luck. Submitted a ticket to Bitwig. Hoping I can demo the software some day!
Thanks all,
Bryan

***UPDATE Number 2***
The EXACT same thing is happening on a completely different machine with an Intel i5 CPU (versus AMD on the other machine), Intel graphics (versus AMD graphics on the other machine), and Windows 7 (versus Windows 8, then upgrade to Windows 10) on the other machine. Sure seems like a bug to me...

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue? I can't possibly be the only one! I just deleted everything related to Bitwig (including Registry entries, app data folders, etc.) and re-installed the latest version-- I'm STILL getting the 'blank' buttons....
