I'm wondering if the idea for a wiki-style type manual has been considered. I think it'd be really useful if there was a way to login to a link off u-he.com and edit/add sections to the current documentation.

As it currently stands, the manual reads more like a brain dump from Urs assuming we're all as smart as he is in synthesizer design :)

I'm a bit new to all of this synth goodness and am enjoying it quite a bit. However, it can be a bit frustrating reading the documentation and thinking "I'd really like to see an example" or "I'm not sure what that knob really does..."

I know Urs is a one man show and I would be willing to help edit/add to such a Wiki for those (very few) souls who know even less than I.

I suggested something similar, and then it was pointed out to me that, as the online manual indicates somewhere, that was the idea all along. I think it's just a matter of getting it up and running, and priorities have been focused on other matters (see the "Improvements!" thread). While I'd really love to see some sort of a semi-public (registered owners only?) wiki, I guess I'd first like to see a few of the improvements Urs has in the works -- especially the ones that folks like Michael Kastrup have been asking about so we can all enjoy his tasty preset goodness.... All in good time, I suppose. :hihi:

Yes, the online manual (WordPress Blog) is at one point supposed to be open for registered users. This won't happen before adding a "u-he user web" area on the website though. And as Tim points out, any of this isn't as important as the Improvements, MFM2, RTAS support, compression...
