A Requiem for Hina Ichigo

Dear friends!

While researching the 4chan.org's "Desu Desu Desu Desu" phenomenon, I came across the episode 10 of Rozen Maiden: Träumend. Long story short, one of the seven animated clockwork dolls that this silly Anime series revolves about, called Hina Ichigo, comes to its bitter end in a surprisingly powerful and tearful scene that outdid even the demises of The Little Prince or Princess Minky Momo. Although it's been hinted it is not the permanent farewell, the scene still opened the inspiration valves and this song came about.

No idea whatsoever what I'm talking about? Never mind, just listen Smile

BUT, it'd be greatly appreciated if you listen to it on SoundClick page instead and give me a few precious chart points Smile

____________

It was done in a relatively short time between diaper changings (yes, the kid's, not mine). But since my style or taste hasn't changed much, that still means the ambient equivalent of a switched-on Wagner!

The main synth used here is once again the incredible Tone2 FireBird.

Also starring:

KongAudio MiniDiZi (a true eastern jewel)
Apari Mk-Kodachi (my fave drum freebie)
Superwave P8
SoundFonts MrRay73
Garritan Personal Orchestra
Steinberg Hypersonic

And if anybody wants to know what she looked like, here's an excellent fanart rendering of Hina Ichigo by Kuridoki.

Enjoy!
Cheers, Aziraphal

A very nice tune indeed. Thumbs Up!

It's a little bit out of place though, as it sounds very Chinese, while Rozen Maiden's setting is in Japan (and Germany). Smile

Howdy poonna. Yes I noticed the overall effect was too Chinese as the song was done. But seems that, sometimes, art ignores facts Smile

Thanks for listening!

Or even cultural distinctions! HiHi
I guess that's why it's "oriental", right? Wink
