Adonis notes change in T2

First, I know, I'm still using T2...whatever. I'm having this problem when I record notes from my keyboard using the free Adonis VST. At first they are quieter and have a soft attack with a nice resonance on the sound I'm using (I'll edit this later with the patch I am using). If I click on the note in the piano roll they blast up in volume and sound distorted and clipped.

Why would this happen? I just re-installed T2 on Vista and updated the M-Audio e49 Keyboard driver, also using ASIO4ALL and a Delta44 card. Blows out on all those settings - if that helps.
