I started using Synthedit two days ago and I took a shot at creating a sample based toy piano VSTi.
It is in BETA right now. Let me know how it works out or sounds.
24 individual samples. ADSR for amplitude. Velocity sensitive.
Basic.
Please comment here or register on my blog and comment if you download it.

Cool, thanks. I'm downloading it now. There sure are a lot of samples on that site!
I don't know how interested I will be in toy piano samples, but I'll find out.

Cool - thanks for checking it out -
You never know when you need the bonking percussive sound of a toy piano!
Just let me know if you run into any problems.

Cool! Thanks for putting this together and making it available. I like the sound of a toy piano.

Good job on these. This sounds a lot like my Jaymar Toy Piano. Any chance of using even more of the samples on the site and making this bigger? Anyway, good work.

If I understood how to layer things in Synthedit, I would do it in a new version.
Should I use a MIDI filter and have it call to different containers at different levels?
My other option is to have each sample set as a different bank so there would be three different sound sets available to the user.
I might throw in a simple velocity controlled filter to make it sound more "real" at lower levels.

Have you considered releasing this as an sfz or similar? A lot of people have a highly capable sampler that they prefer using over a pre-baked vst. That's not to sound ingrateful, mind you.

That sample song sounds really great!
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I can do a .sf2 soundfont, but I'll have to look into doing an .sfz
