if you have previously donated more than $33 (the price of one vst) you should have received your copy of hyperion.
the official release and that of associated media will not take place for a few days. for those who are anticipating a purchase, the price will be $25, although there are two 'packages' available (all purchases receive 'bonus' items).
if you're looking for more information, the hype thread in the instruments forum contains a few in-use mp3s, and the pdf is available here -

i didn't think it was that bad..

unused from 2005 (a predecessor to the core of circuit vsti - did the same thing as the sem in 99,999 times more cpu)

fauna or oscine tract..

hyperion

I'd hate to see your version of complicated!
Thanks for this Rurik

there were some custom modules.. i made three different 'volts to scale' modules that took a bit of doing (these will be available some time.. user-scale, volts to scale.. this is a 'degrees to scale' with equidistant intervals suitable for lfos et c...) my version of complicated usually involves working with someone else's format

hyperion is indeed quite huge to explore, and the synth edit scheme simplifies things a bit
I loose ground fairly quickly after three modulations
Also I have a hard time resetting the LFOs at slow rates... typically in this experiment I have the first lfo on gate two, with the phase full right in order to start without the second voice, and a slow rate, but then I just did not find a way to reset it (I did not try to sync it though, I just tried the reset button which apparently never reset the lfo).
Anyway here is the result of a couple hours with hyperion and Benedict Roff-Marsh SSP III.

I have still a long way to go, I know

?? i double-checked my circuit, it should sync.. thanks for the 'classic' sounding demo.
i don't know what you mean 'phase full right to start without the 2nd voice' - phase full right is the same as phase full left - zero degrees phase

A quick, dirty, gritty demo of one instance of Svati + Hyperion + Circuit + a drumtrack.
Except the beat, i never played a single note : all the nasty arp/bass is fully generated by the nice midi plugs

Anyway I am travelling now, so I'll have a look again when I'm back on Tuesday.

nah, phase is 360 across the board. you need 270 to start from the lowest point of a sine or tri

try the demo.. it's limited to multiples of 40bpm (40,80,120,160 et c.)
http://www.breathcube.com/vst/hyperiondemo.zip
it shouldn't
at least compared to talent! most of the components in the newer algorithmic VST only process on samples where a clock event occurs.

Here is another experiment with hyperion: this time I use it to generate variations on a bass line, which is regularly repeated. Jamstix is at the drums, but the bass is just 56 bars from hyperion.

just out of curiosity, is the jamstix patch programmed to have late notes, or is there a sample that has some space at the beginning or ?? the timing sounds a bit late here and there?
