Schematic & SchematEQ
For those of you familiar with my simple frequency divider plugins, think of Schematic as the 8 channel "PRO" version.

SchematEQ is the same design but with all 8 dividers summed to a single stereo output. Whats this mean? A stereo frequency utility & EQ like no other..

This dosen't function at all like your goto EQ inside or out. If you follow the diagram from the bottom up you see the signal splits and you end up with 8 Bands. Each horizontal box 1/2's the frequency it receives & the slider adjusts the crossover/divide point. Above the 8 bands you will find a mute & volume pot. I recommend you stick to the top main 8 bands until you get the hang of it.

(Tip - remember the frequency range of each horizontal box gets split in half and sent to the box above it. So say you set the bottom box to split at 1000hz the above box to the left will receive 1000hz down. You will have to keep in mind that the box is only dealing with 1000hz down & that it will do no good to bring the slider past 1000hz. Each slider can handle 20-20,000 Depending on samplerate.)

Ok have fun with this beast of a thing.

It's really interesting to me, to basically remove all my left-brain understanding of various frequencies and attempt to shape the sound using a graphical interface I don't yet understand except in the most general way. In a very cool way, it forces me to just listen.

I don't know what to say about the quality of the equalization itself, since you've made remarks before about using third party modules and since they seem to be pretty broad curves and no way to alter the Q, but I'm not getting any "uh oh, this is bad" scratchiness on the higher frequencies yet, so I'm just not going to weigh in on that aspect. It sounds nice so far.

But this idea of shaping the eq curve through a process that cuts out my left brain is fascinating.

Intentional or not, it's cool. I'm starting to really dig your work.

Cheers.

Yeah this is an interesting one. Unlike any EQ I know of. The modular version is a great utility.
