Does anyone know of a good MIDI remapper plug?
I'm looking for something that can remap note-on & note-off messages e.g. so that if it receives a note-on msg for either B2 or C3 it will output a note-on msg for C3. If it can alter velocity reponse as well that would be a bonus.
Freeware if possible, payware if not.
Any thorts...?
TIA,

Sounds like a job for MidiOx indeed. It's a seperate program and not a plugin, but can do what you need when configured correctly.

midiConverter2 should do it

might be even more efficient than asseca, coz non-SE made afaik.

Hmmmm, that's not ideal - I need to remap several notes.Optomadic wrote:To get the Piz plugin to work you have to use an instance for each incoming note that you want to remap!
Thanks for all the suggestions: I'll definitely check out MIDImunger today. (Still haven't looked at MIDIOx; got as far as downloading it before I had to go out

"Poyfect", as Dr. John would say!mbncp wrote:some more stuff here: http://www.s-production.de/index_vst.html
MIDIOx is clearly very powerful and I'm sure I'll find other uses for it, but a plug-in is much more convenient for what I've got in mind. DH_MIDIMunger looks fantastic, too...but crashes my host instantly I'm afraid
The s-production Note Matrix, on the other hand, does exactly what I need and works just fine. So thanks for the tip, mbncp

I needed a MIDI remapper sort of like what you are looking for as well. I didn't find any options that looked good and easy to use, so I wound up building my own. I put it up with an open source license, so definitely feel free to try it out. Here's the link: https://midireroute.codeplex.com.
