RMIV lite problwm

I posted this in the getting started but maybe that was the wrong forum because I got ne replies.

I get a recording signal if I use the piano at the bottom of the screen under the Midi input tab but not if I use the RMIV lite interface(a virtual drum pad). What am I doing wrong?? (this may also answer my other topic)
