Hey that's really nice. Interesting false tonic in the pentatonic groove there, I can't really explain it but it makes a really interestnig circular melody.
I'd put more multiband distortion on this track! But that's just me. Quite lovely.
"Discomfort" is a really odd title for this, core!

I felt a tad uncomfortable putting that middle part in there. It seemed to be something for a whole other track. But after working on it a few hours it kinda felt right. The title stuck...

I really find myself looking forward to your posts these days, core. Always something interesting, pleasant to listen to, and well recorded.
This is no exception.
I know I say this a lot for your tracks, so my apologies when I repeat myself..
it just fits your motif lately.
"smooth".
Nice work.

smooth, good production, genre-wise maybe not something I'd bump in the jeep often
but I dug. I don't know why, but the track made me think of jean claude van damme lol, maybe the oriental pling sound from one of his early martial arts flicks?

Thanks Jazzyspoon, your comments are much appreciate, even if they are repetitive. "smooth" seems to be a theme with my music lately.Jazzyspoon wrote:I really find myself looking forward to your posts these days, core. Always something interesting, pleasant to listen to, and well recorded.

Hi core,
this 'discomfort' is a nice track of yours. I first listened to it on my computer equipment and did like it. Found it a tad lacking in detail though. But now I listen to it on my headphones and I hear al kinds of detail that I missed before (I knew my equipment is missing detail and highs especially, but this is worse than I imagined). Nice track, clean, well crafted and detailed. I has a character that touches me even though the harp reminds me of new age music which is not my favorite type to put it mildly. A keeper!
Greetings, Slug (37,2°)

Thanks Slug (37,2°)
I usually produce/mix on Alesis monitors, a Creative Labs multimedia set and cheap Sennheiser DJ headphones. I strive to get a decent sound from the three individually, but I tend to lose quite a bit of detail with the multimedia speakers...

Hi core,
that may be true, but what I was trying to say was that I missed out detail due to my equipment, your song has more character than struck me at first.

Ronnie,
This is probably one of my favorites of yours - right up there with Garbage Collector - in fact, a mashup of these two would be nice!
How about Discomforted Garbage Collector as a title?

Very emotional piece. I really like this one. You should release this as a freebeat. Many rappers would most likely rap on it.

excellent... although I personally found it not to be quirky.
using echos

etc.
nice smooth and delicious.
...is this what 'new age' music should have been, but wasn't?
