Ancient happy music. I wrote and recorded this piece in the early 1990s, never posted it anywhere. I was looking through old stuff, thought I'd toss this one into the arena.
The piece started as an experiment in the PC version of David Ziccarelli's M. That version never really sold for Voyetra. I tested the releases, it was a great port of the original, but they dropped it pretty quickly. Eventually the programmer responsible for the port left Voyetra and took the code with him. Oh well.
Anyway, M exported MIDI files, so I cobbled together some of those experiments in Sequencer Plus and came up with this piece. My mother loves carousels, so this one's for Mom.
The hardware included a Yamaha TX802, a Yamaha TX81Z, a Korg EX8000, a Yamaha TX16w, a Roland MKS70, an Ensoniq Mirage. I didn't have very good recording gear, and the only surviving mix is in mono, sorry about that.
