Hi guys
I just picked up a receptor 2 with Komplete inside last week.
I was excited to finally be able to manipulate layers and splits in a performance setting like I did with my old keyboard the Yamaha Motif, but now with stronger Vst sounds.
I've been reading on here and now to my dismay, I find that receptor does not allow midi mapping of channel volume nor master volume control for layered multipatches?
This is a bit unbelievable as this was the main reason I had purchased this machine. Once I found out you could do layers and splits I naturally assumed volume control of them would be included. I'm trying to understand ways around this and I've seen some people mention Greg Holmes Plug- in and a separate midi event mapper.
I'm still not sure I understand though.. will either of these then allow me to have volume control of both the individual source plugins AND the master volume at the same time ?
Or is it just the master volume I'll have control of but my individual channel volumes will have to stay at a preset level?
This is uber important that I find this out. I like the receptor so far but I was mainly planning on using it for touring as my main rig and it needs to be able to do this:-o
Volume control for layers and splits?

If you make sure the 'Midi to source plugins' option is UNCHECKED and OFF in Receptor's Setup screen then CC messages to Receptor's mixer should be on different channels (and therefore controlled independantly). In otherwords if you have a layered sound On Receptor Channels 1 and 2, then sending CC 7 on MIDI channel 1 will change the first instrument, sending CC 7 on MIDI channel 2 will change the second sound.
