Hi folks

The title in short resumes the idea that burns my old head , assuming i might not be the only to have thought about such an eventuality (i hope !)

this is the idea :

Considering that the the present technologies are capable of analysing a polyphonic signal and give a rendering that allows you to manipulate literally each voices individually inside a sample as if they where MIDI datas

the Direct Note Access (DNA) technology from celemony beeing the masterly example of this...

Considering that, then ...do you think it should be possible, after analysing a single singing or speeching voice, in most of the common languages, to create for instance a phonetic or a VOTOX translation that grounds the wordbuider of symphonic choirs ? :

Of course, if it's concievable, it won't likely give a realistic result in itself...
(as the DNA technology needs generally some manual adjusments by the costumer to be usuable !)
...but something effective enough to increase workflow, knowing that the wordbuider, as it is, can give very realistic and spectacular result but is terribly time-consuming !

Also hypothetically , on a pure intellectual and technical point of view,

...it can be a very exiting reflexion IMO, to try to figure out, in deep , what need to be considered if such a technology can be reasonably created in the future ?

Your skilled visions and critique on this particular topic are more than welcome !

I have a few ideas that might help to encircle the problem

It could be helful for the user to give some precious indication to the program, like for instance in wish language a voice is singing

this might either reduce the relevant palette of sibilant and vowels (or similar translated in phonetic or Votox) and help in the recognition of a related syntax, grammatic and vocabulary

I don't think this is still a pure science-fiction domain, just because the ground isn't totally unprepared at the present time in where speech recognition already exist in a perfectly operational manner !

...what do you think of this, folks ?

well, you know i really appreciate these forums for many question, especially if your looking for a think wish such or such precise feature for such or such precise reason

i really do and i know that, by far, i'm not the only one,

But honestly, when i want to go deeper into some technical consideration and considering the constant overall activities, the lack of responsiveness it a bit dissapointing

Who can say that this topic would be such irrelevant that no one even seems to take care to give his opinion ?

It is a complex idea and i know that my english doesn't help on that purpose, but for passionates it shouldn't be something insurmountable ? ...sincerely i don't understand !

I think that if such thing was pulled off, it would improve usability of WB and VOTOX by at least 100% :D

- thanks for the consolation, mate !

...the other thing would be that EW would probably be pricks and didn't want to include it :P
