Acid or Rex for loops?

Sorry, I imagine there must be dozens of threads on this, but I couldn't find one.

Given a sequencer (e.g. Live) that can use both Acid and Rex loops, and vendors that supply them in either format, which format to get?

Or does each format have its strengths for certain kinds of material?

I can't see a single reason to prefer acid over rex. Rex is superior in every way. Acid can be previewed in any media player, though.

REX2 and get yourself ReCycle so you can tweak the slice/loop points if need be.
