i'm still feeling a little agitated but i think a little of my mellow is trickling back.
slowly.

i'm not sure what this is all about - 7a'seroady (5:55/320kbps/14.4MB)
but i hope you enjoy it.

am i allowed to plug my album?
clicking on the bandcamp link in my sig will take you straight to it where you can either cradle it like a newborn baby or point and laugh :D

thank you.

buy the albumn, it's ace!! (now where's my 20%?)

a touch quiet if i may say so ? be aware that i'm typing as listening.

the usual lovely lush chords mixed with the (still somewhat) agitated breaks. fantastic detail with the little stutters and such. and the wall of sound once it gets going is so afx (in a good way).

that breakdown with the pitch bend bassline is gorgeous !!! :P

me and you definately need to collab on something, you have the dark, i have the light.

cheers,

steve.

ha ha! thanks for the plug, steve :tu:

i figured it may be a little quieter than usual as i'm keeping away from limiters when 'mastering'. it was peaking at about 0.3 and i thought i'd keep the dynamics and let folks use their volume controls :hihi:
still, i may upload a slightly limited version if it passes my stringent quality control (!).

thanks for the very kind words, i appreciate you taking a listen.

a collaboration sounds like a great idea! we'll have to get something together.

i re-uploaded with a touch more limiting. no too much though!

I love the contrast of those nasty manic drums/percs over the rather placid and lovely pads. Outstanding hawtness Neil! 8)

thank you Matt :)

of course it would appear entirely contrived that I'm commenting on/bumping your track when you just reviewed mine, but I was honestly planning to listen to this earlier today...:)

it's a very nice track, although for my tastes the drums are too frenetic, but all the same it's clear you have a heap of talent. the pads/chords are really really nice, and the main break itself is very good. I must check out your album

Post

I like this . Smooth and harsh at the same time :) I love the contrast

Post

@Cypher - not contrived at all! :)
the drums - yeah i'm going through a bit of an aggro phase with breaks at the moment :D my mellow side is always bubbling under though!

@Kung - i like the idea of messing with contrasts - maybe like being hit with a silken sheathed paving slab :)

thank you both for taking the time to listen!

Smooth and harsh as kungKrille mention... nice rhythm and percussion variations... sounds cool

Post

ominous intro. There are some great insect noises around 2-3 min.
Lots of variation on the beats, some great echo/verby flourishes on them sometimes, lots of detail.
cool

I'm liking this. The effects on the drums are golden. It's got a cool ominous vibe.
