"Molot" VST compressor (0.3)
====================== * Looking for transparent compressor? This not your choise. This compressor adds a lot of coloring to sound. * Too complex? This compressor is not for beginners. It's pretty hard to tune it up but if you're able, you'll get THE sound! * Scared with GUI? GUI language can be switched. Also there's GUI-less version. See downloads page. * Too much CPU? Turn off oversampling. * Too much distortion? First, match your levels to 0 dbVU = -18 dBFS. Next, saturation can be switched off. See the manual for details. * Too noisy? Turn off the dithering. See the manual for details. * Do you still want to use it? Proceed to downloads page, please. http://vladgsound.wordpress.com/plugins/molot/ This is an old thread for AU version port by c0ff: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=314430 Last edited by vladg on Wed Apr 04, 2012 3:38 am; edited 14 times in total |

Cute one! Great compressor 'with character', tried it on drums and bass in Orion, quite impressive. Could be useful for industrial/EBM as well (technoheads will probably find use for this one too).
Спасибо, действительно хороший компрессор! |

When the interface words are switched to EN it would look better without the light background rectangles. I really like what you have done with the GUI and it sounds good too. ---- A guy walks into a laundry run by cats. "Excuse me", he said to the cat in charge, "Can you get milk stains out?" "Sure," replied the cat. "We'll have that stain licked in a minute!" |

Very cool stuff. This works excellent on adding some "tone" to instruments. Not much that's comparable to compressive pro say for simply getting levels down but it's got a fantastic ability to lend some lovely vintagey warmth to pianos and such. ---- Snare drums samples: the new and improved "dither algo" |

Have to try this tonight, not because I'd need another compressor, but because the name always makes me smile.
I guess it would get censored so I just paste what wiktionary says molo means in finnish - 1. (vulgar) penis |
