Heya,
I have had this brewing for about a year. It's a polyphonic,up to 16 pattern, 128 step MIDI sequencer VSTi, and if you need it I export an .exe.
It will work best on 32 bit systems I think, for I am using Maple virtual MIDI cable. I can't get LoopBe to work, should contact them I guess. If you are using physical ports it will work on 64-bit though.
My friend(I hope yet) did the graphics, I luv them. Name of Galaxpel.
It may be perfect for driving hardware synths from within DAW, I'll come back w/- the .exe.
Here 'tis->

2mb .rar

Enjoy!
Free for non-commercial, professionals price is $16Aus.
edit-changed clock hz to what it actually is

I hope it's a keeper!
Let me know if you would like the .exe.
Galaxpel has been in touch, so there will be some fusions between us further.
I'll try and get the 64 patterns working, but I think there are too many preset parameters for a VST.
Cheers

It's free if you don't sell the music you make with it. If you sell the sequence, ie. use it on a record you sell, you are obliged to buy the license.
Cheers
btw, it is SynthMaker and MAX/msp creation
The clock is portable to Mac easily

Synthmaker is now Flowstone,
and this has huge benefits for sequencers.
No longer is this clocked by MAX/msp.
It's a neat single .dll.
Still 32 bits, but it's now VST 2.4 .
Should be sample accurate,
and also it is suitable for live use,
ie. no audio dropouts.
I think it uses 70 meg of RAM per instance,
this is neccessary for the data storage.
The GUI is quite similar,
so no new screen.
Same story with the pricing,
$16 for commercial use.
Payment via paypal, PM to buy.
It's uncrippled to demo.
There are 64 patterns current,
I will look if I can make it 128,
just needs to use a manageable amount of RAM.
Cheers! Hope u like it,
I agree, Galaxpel made it look sexy to heck!
I'm taking feature requests btw,
I guess pitch shift and arp are foremost at this point.

OK,
In modular host, or Orion,
it's easy to route this, as it has a MIDI pin.
Can I get a tutorial for FL though?
I've been looking in every menu I can find,
for recieve MIDI from DreamSequence.
I would like to enable my pianoroll(DS),
without using MIDI ports or routers.
Just would like to help FL users.
Cheers

I found how to use it in Fruity,
I think there needs to be a 'patcher' channel created,
I didn't realize that it has a modular option.
Just wire the MIDI output of DS into your VST,
the MIDI pins are blue.
Cheers
Also- it seems pretty flawless in Orion,
but in Fruity it isn't quite sample accurate.
Also there are subtle audio hiccups,
it just slightly lags when switching between FL and
the internet.
IMO it is still usable,
I have been testing at high bpm,
square with very short decay,
and listening to the drift.
The oscillation nearly doesn't waver.

edit-OK so I've done more testing in FL-
I think there is no problem,
I changed the MIDI settings,
not really know what I am doing there.
Seems very solid timing-wise.
Switching between FL and IE also.
Please try it yourself, if you'd like an easy to use sequencer.
Let me know if it works/issues in your host.
Cheers!

^^
ups & up
If you'd like to try it,
I would like to hear feedback in respect
to it's percieved accuracy of timing.
If the timing aspect is OK,
there are lots of things I could add
Cheers 8D
Also-hmm still the fruity routing issue,
the 'patcher' channel is not ideal

Heya,
Sorry, I am a graphical programmer,
not skilled enough to hardcode.
I do however have MAX/msp,
and can do cross platform stand alones,
not VST or au.
The DreamSequence could be ported,
but you would need to run,
I think it's SoundFlower(?) to get the
MIDI out.
I don't think I will because,
I can't integrate into host except Live!.
Thanks for your interest,
if I do any Mac stuff,
I will let you know Marco.
I have had some succeess with
CrossOver,
If you are willing to run CrossOver,
I can provide support for my Windows work.
