"water people" ambient tune, in performance style using 3 instances of zebra and 3 controller keyboards, plus some hardware synths.

I made some changes, which I hope sound a little better than the original version below. Lowered the Ion volume, put Breeze on it, and took the compressor off the Master Buss, and changed ProL algo from dynamic to transparent.
This below is the original version.

Nice work again fatc. Was this all live? It sounds really good. Great listening for a Sunday morning after a fairly hectic week. Nice wind-down music for a battery-recharge. I fact, I listened to it 4 times now

Mmmm.
Picks you up, gently shakes out all your stresses while it carries you along, then lets you go with barely a bump.

It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently now an 'elderly' so maybe I forgot!

hey, thanks very much seismic, folderol, polyslax, glad you like it.
edit. Mon morn has arrived here, so back in a bit to check your tunes out
Yes, improvisation onto 10 tracks, a controller for each zebra instance and the hardware synths running off the main controller. The 'sound' mainly seems to dictate what and how it is played. This was done with a fairly light touch.seismic1 wrote:Was this all live?

This aspect definitely comes through in the musicfateamenabletochange wrote: The 'sound' mainly seems to dictate what and how it is played. This was done with a fairly light touch.

Might they be underwater people? This one conjured peaceful deep sea scenes for me. Quite enjoyable. Thank you.

nice for panning over landscape, found myself adding some ambient guitar bits to it.

my first few listens , i was having some issues w/ resonance , in the mid-range ...
i'm putting that down to ear fatigue , as i've heard no one else mention it ...
the track flows beautifully ...
a track that supports itself . like this , w/o a pervasive percussion base is going to have my vote ...
your 'light touch' appeals to me , and i could take it a bit lighter still ...

Beautiful, serene piece of music. And for an improvised performance to hang together so perfectly shows serious composition chops too. Excellent work

no guitar ideas came to me for this one wavephonic ...too bad, maybe next time.
pleased you like the flow normal.
and thanks mikusan for the encouragement, much appreciated.
thanks for this...I'll keep an ear out next project...think the culprit might be the Ion, which has its aux outputs going through a Xone VF 1 for a bit of warble that can be quite mid range dense where I have the frequency set.normal wrote: i was having some issues w/ resonance , in the mid-range ...

hey that was really nice to come home from work and listen to
i can hear what normal means when he talks about the resonance on one particular synth (in the higher register) but the composition shines through
nice work
