I'd like to experimment with this as well... gamming for more than 20 years but at this time i'd prioritize other developement aspects like MC support and (even) more modular power. I remember reading about something to turn any xbox controller into a midi controller, cant recall the name now, if i find it i'll post it here. EDIT: Found it! http://sourceforge.net/projects/xboxmidipad/ I've also found a script you can use for the same goal, and i think it also works with non xbox gamepads, i'll try this one because i dont have a xbox controller atm. http://informationsaustausch.de/?p=85 If you do a youtube search with "xbox midi" or "xbox midi controller" you'll find lots of alternative ways and tutorials to achieve this. |

cool.
i'll have to have a play, mostly i want to be able to map Mutools controls to the pad, though the possibility of using some analogue input and force feedback might be nice i am not doing anything 'live' it's just lots of shortcuts to hand form the 16odd buttons on a pad . i'll let you know what i find. ---- wee have also sound-houses |

I have a program called Midi Control Centre that might work. Never used it though and its at least 5 years old so not sure if it'll work with X-pads. I think I got it from Computer Music Magazine disc. Try googling it if you can't get the mag where you are. Good luck hope it works for you... |
