Anyone know of any software used to make these types of videos? They seem to be growing a bit more prevalent on youtube. Technically just a visualizer... but pretty cool!

Thanks.

here is a link to one (the one in that video was homeade but the one in the link is much cooler. By the way in the link just get the demo the only limitations are that you cant use some of the visualizers and there is a nag screen every 5 min.

Not quite what I'm looking for mate... some of those are quite cool but the rendering quality isn't all that hot. I'm looking for something to make videos similar to that video (though I guess I could record my screen with that visualizer... still I'm probably looking for something a bit more basic...)

No offense, and I appreciate your trying to help... but that search literally yields nothing useful or at all pertinent

Anyone with video skills know how to do something like this? It seems like some sort of final cut pro plugin or something since there are quite a few videos now that labels put up that do this... Thanks

For anyone who is searching for what I'm searching for I'm posting what I found. It is a script/audio visualizer created via Adobe Flash Professional

I know a little about this, having made videos for some time. you can find examples by clicking on my youtube link in my sig below.

some great tools:

-FL studio comes with a really good visualizer, that outputs good quality video files

-the mam player (free) is really good for midi visualization, however requires some sort of recording method (the best I found so far is fraps, but if someone knows of something better please let me know!) http://www.musanim.com/player/

http://www.fraps.com/

-Processing is a programming language for vjays. You can make some amazing visuals with that (unfortunatly it requires programming knowledge, however some generous people have contributed their own projects for free, to make it a little easier). http://processing.org/

-Many music players come with great visualizers, which can be captured with fraps. I am not sure on the legality of using these in youtube videos, but researching this is definitely on my to do list. I would start with winamp, as there are a gazilliion visualizers available.

-blender, is free and some users have written scripts to sync with midi (and maybe audio too, who knows). Down side: huge learning curve. I tried some tutorials and came to the conclusion that I do not currently have time to learn blender well enough to use it in videos. However, some day... http://www.blender.org/

-midijam: cheesey but free: http://www.gamesbyscott.com/midijam.htm

-miditrail: http://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/miditrail/ (updated to version 1.2!!! YAY!!!!!)

which also require fraps or similar.

And on and on and on. There is no limit, just use google and have fun. Good luck!!

Oh and then of course you need a video editor to finalize the project, such as adobe premier pro. There are tons of these out there as well, just google for them.

I am not pro, just a hobbyist but I have been doing this for a few years so if you have specific questions feel free to ask Razz
