Hi,
I wanna ask some help here, anything about your opinions between these three products :

(Behringer UMX610) http://cachepe.samedaymusic.com/media/quality,85/brand,samed ay/UMX610_P0A1K_Top_XXL_clipped-1c2b5d85bd9c529755619cd3ea9a c63f.jpg

(M-Audio Oxygen 61) http://www.dv247.es/assets/products/67743_l.jpg , or

(Icon Inspire 5) http://www.dv247.com/computer-hardware/icon-inspire-5-air-49 -note-midi-controller-keyboard--79101 USD 333

Which one that you would recommend?. Consider about which one is more valuable, and have the higher quality (with such a quite humble price-range) Confused

well, I need opinions from everybody who has experienced with these controllers. Especially for the Icon Inspire 5, since I've found many reviews about m-audio oxygen and behringer umx610, but none for the inspire 5. And also, I'm not a keyboard or piano master player, I guess there are so many controls to be understood, and I think I'm confused .HiHi

I heard that there's a problem with the Icon product (the Logicon
series), said that about 1/4 keys didn't transmit the midi velocity under 127, so we need to break a finger to get the sound. But actually, I'd rather to choose Inspire 5 even though the price is a bit higher than those two. Because, I think the Inspire 5 has excellent specs & features. But still, I don't even know if it's playable or not. Since, the testimony for the Logicon series is quite bad.

So, if the opinions about Icon Inspire 5 is about a great stuff. I'm surely gonna buy it. But if it's lame, I think I'm gonna turn to those two, but most likely it would be M-audio oxygen 61. Or, if you have any other recommendations in 61keys/49keys (also in a price range of those three midi controllers), I'd love to know. Very Happy

And by the way, I found that the prices for those controllers in my country is much higher than the price normally that I've found in the web.
In my country, Behringer UMX 610 is about USD 281, M-audio Oxygen 61 about USD 286, and the Icon Inspire 5 is about USD 333.

Well, can't wait for your input guys, and Thanks before.. Smile

I've got the umx610. The keys are ok. I don't like the dials, because they aren't continuous; and I wish it had the ability to change settings via dedicated buttons, rather than the keys. It's got both din and usb midi, so the choice is yours, rather than the budget maudio boards which just have usb.

I haven't tried the other two boards you mention. I assume you are asking because you can't try these things in store, but at this price range, the key action isn't going to be the greatest, so it's going to be a gamble whether you personally like the action or not.

Yeah, that was what I think about when considering of those two products, umx610 and oxygen 61. umx610 got the midi port and usb connector, m-audio only got the usb, but it have more faders and other buttons. So I guess, the difference about these two products, are very thin. That's why i looked to the icon inspire 5, which have more main features and specs than those two products. Well, I'm not looking for the greatest key action in this price range, but I'm just aware with the Inspire 5 keys since the review was not so good. But if it's more likely or maybe has the same/quite/more quality level (the keys) with the m-audio/behringer, I think I need to choose that product, since I'm just afraid that if actually the inspire 5 is "under-value" (about the keys) from those two products.

Yup, you were right. There's a music store in here, but I need to order the product first, and about a week I should come back there, to take the chance to try it HiHi. But in the end, I must buy the stuff even if the last result it's not really nailed with me, and it's kind of sucks, because it's not actually like I'm gambl-ing about the action that's personally i liked, since I only have a chance to try one product from the three products that only have thin differences, and must buy it in the end anyway. Shit! haha

Anyway, thanks a lot for your opinion here.

I was pretty pleased with the UMX-610. My needs however would be different to yours. I have a Korg Extreme 88, a Korg TR76 and a Juno-G so the keybed on the UMX-610 wasn't as important to me as it would have been if it was my only keybed. That being said, , it's better than I thought it would be and I'm more than happy I purchased it. For the money, I think it's a good buy and it serves the purpose I bought it for.

The velocity sensitivity is okay, and the keybed isn't hideous. The thing installed perfectly well as plug-and-play on Windows7 and I had no need to install a single driver for it. The dials are firm enough although that firmness is a little in-consistent from one dial to the next but I would imagine this would even out over a period of usage. I enjoy using the UMX-610, it's a nice looking thing and does the job it's meant to do.
