A very quick question: In grid view, is it possible to timestretch the loops a la Live?
Since it's possible to get Producer version quite cheap im getting very tempted as the workflow is quite cool!

Yes it is possible. I am not at my DAW right now, so cannot tell you the shortcut. Interesting thing is, it shows the percentage of stretch on the loop itself. Are you upgrading? They're giving away Production Suite for free this month, when one upgrade or buy producer.

Yes, Sonar works quite well with loops. I can't compare it to Live (I've never used it), but I've had no trouble using pre-existing loops, or creating my own from my own recordings.

Sonar calls them Groove Clips and they're stupidly easy to work with. Select/highlight the clip, CTRL-L, done. The clip is matched to the project tempo and you can easily repeat it as many times as you'd like by grabbing the right or left edge of the clip and dragging it out as far as you need it to go.

You can do the same with midi clips as well.cryophonik wrote:Sonar calls them Groove Clips and they're stupidly easy to work with. Select/highlight the clip, CTRL-L, done.
