Is there anything out there that is not a delay, phaser, distortion, etc. I want something to really make synth sounds sound different and cool and good. But not the same old thing. Any really cool effects out there? There are just so many similar ones, looking for something different but very effective. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. It may not be an effect, but you should definitely check out "Granite" from New Sonic Arts! I tried it a couple weeks ago and it's both inspiring and well worth the price of admission.

I really like Spectrumworx for this kind of thing. It's good for bringing out certain harmonics or smearing parts of the spectrum, adding thin layers of ambience to beats, etc. It can also go all out FSU if you like. |

Thanks for mentioning ÜberMod! I didn't want to do it since I have to sound like a bad ValhallaDSP marketing person by now http://www.valhalladsp.com/valhallaubermod goes from mild to whoa. YMMV Cheers Dennis ---- Back from the dead - Sorry if I didn't answer your mails/PM/whatever during the last few months. I hope everything will be back to normal soon. Yeah I tried that a long time ago. I think it used to cost money if I am not mistaken. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” |

This is tough because I think what I am looking for has not been invented yet. It seems all effects have been done. I need something new.
I do have camelspace which I like but certain parts of it are not that great, like the flanger, while other parts work great, like the trance gate and the enhancer. But would be nice to have an effect that is great at doing one thing but is not the usual thing. ---- my music: http://www.soundclick.com/alexcooper “Everybody is a genius. I think you will need to defy the laws of physics in order to create new types of audio effects...
This is similar to asking for a different color.. the human eye can only see so many.. but you want something new and fresh. Design a new eye... or in this case.. a new ear ---- "Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except the best." - Henry Van Dyke |
