You need the serial and activate it with Spectrasonics website. Keep looking in the garbage. Also who ever threw them in the garbage needs to pay a fee to Spectrasonics to transfer the license over to you as the Spectrasonics serials cannot be shared. Oh and have a doctor examine who threw it out.

The serial number is on the inside cover of the physical User Guide. The guide is printed in black and white, no color and about 6"x10" ...looks more like a thick pamphlet. The cover is mostly white but the lower half has a 2 1/2" black circular shape, jagged edges with white text describing how the booklet contains the serial number and "do not lose it!" Good luck!

After making a payment on Spectrasonics website I sent them an email and ask to please throw it in their bin for me. Saves me time.bronxsound wrote:I do it regularly. Once a week.bmrzycki wrote:I often buy copies of Omnisphere and then just throw them out.

Seriously, you guys didn't know about Spectrasonics' new line of disposable software? You spend a mere 4 hours installing it, use it once, then toss it. Convenience, 2012 style, baby.

Working in the tech field for big corporations I found lots of nice stuff (or formerly nice stuff) thrown in the trash. Software. Peripherals. Entire computers. It occurred to me I should have been working in the same capacity at a music studio instead!

I once found a Virus in the trash...
