As most of you know, I am the die-hard JamUp fanatic, but, does it really cut the mustard? Well, now you can hear for yourself. I just finished this track using JamUp for guitars and bass, a custom drum kit I designed for Nanostudio, and a slight synth background also created with NanoStudio. This hasn't made it to the post-production stages yet, but once finished, it will be featured on my album 20/20 (hopefully seeing a release this winter). This track "Crush" is also available for free download here:

I used my Orange Crush preset for the lead, and modified Leadfoot preset for the rhythm, bass was punchy chorus...minus the chorus pedal. Here's the tricky part...man, I can't wait for audiobus...played rhythm in Jamup phrase sampler, audio copy/paste to Nanostudio...assigned guitar to pad. Then loaded up another set of trg pads that are loaded with a custom drum kit that I made and sequenced drums. Opened an Eden synth and recorded background synth...just to make a fuller sound....now, just to cut down on the back and forth, I took the drum and synth track and loaded it into cubase, then hooked apogee jam into iPad in Jamup. ...out of iPad into my USB audio interface for computer and layer down the rhythm track in cubase, repeat with bass and lead tracks. Adjusted levels. Done.

I know some folks have been wondering about the rhythm qualities of JamUp....we all know the leads sound great...so here's a work in progress that shows off some chops set to a little faster, somewhat heavier track. "Leadfoot" will be featured on forthcoming album 20/20 as well....just finishing up bass tracks, leads, and tightening all the loose screws. (Xander Demos will also be featured on this track)
