They're decent & actually 64-bit (at least the version bundled in Sonar), but getting pretty much bypassed by new product, including, most relevantly, new stuff at Cakewalk. More importantly, the DX plugin format is deprecated. Sonar uses VST and its own new proprietary plugin format.

They are good. I use them all the time in Sonar X1. Good thing is they are CPU friendly. I remember they were really sought after when it was released. Now that Sonar has similar effects bundled these don't get enough attention. For 19 bucks you won't be disappointed but before buying take a hard look at your current setup. As these are standard effects almost all the DAW will have them so you need to decide whether you need another set of std effects.

"These plug-ins have been enhanced with DirectX automation, and can be use with SONAR, Home Studio, Project5 or any application supporting DirectX or VST."

"System Requirements:
This download was intended for use with 32-bit versions of Windows 2000/XP. On 64-bit Windows Vista & Windows 7 it will only install as 32-bit plug-ins."

They are from 2003.
Except for a multiband compressor, there is nothing in this bundle which is not already part of most DAW's standard effects.
I guess you might as well throw two tenners out of the window.

Yep, I guess if you don't have any good or basic plugins already it would be worth buying. But it's not supported & won't be updated. You can find similar free ones out there.

I wonder if the bundled one with X1 Prod can be used in other DAWs as well (they're in the cakeW shared plugs folder, so worth a go I guess)?

Free Reaper plugins (free ReaPlugs or something) would cover same bases.

That's what I was thinking!
They (FX suite) have a better GUI IMO, but after I got them, too impulsive Embarassed , I realized.... no 64 version! Shrug
