It just struck me that Ableton Live is in one way like a Mellowtron on steroids! ---- J.S. Bach... the Einstein of music. Listen to my music... http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?AID=439965&T=7205 |

I tend to think of it more as a huge tape recorder/sampler, but once you get past the fact that MIDI editing isn't the greatest, it does actually have some great MIDI features. Using the MIDI FX with instrument racks allows you to do stuff that is tough to achieve without a truly modular sequencer. Live is also great for complex audio routing. When you start getting into Max4Live, the possibilities really open up. What brought on this realization? |

I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive for the full version. I hate the loss of control when I have to render to make room for more effects and instruments. I suggested that they release a version that will allow for, say, 10 effects/instruments and charge, say, $150.00... they say sorry Charlie! ---- J.S. Bach... the Einstein of music.
