Hey folks,

7.01 update upgrades MIDI controllers and analyzers, adds phase controller for oscillators, optimizes MMultiBandGranular and more.

Also one more processor has been released - MVocoder, which is free for MTotalBundle and MCreativeBundle users and is now available for a riddiculous introductory price as usual.

Check http://www.meldaproduction.com for more information Wink.

Cheers!

So I can feed in any synth in the side chain and it works as a carrier? Can I also feed in any audio sample?

Furthermore, can I create with MVocoder vocal lines like those I've heard on "Foster People - Pumped Up Kicks" (with some distortion and EQ)?

Yes! You can feed it with anything...

Well, I checked youtube for this song and I didn't hear any vocoder, just some bandpass and maybe distortion.

Thanks for your reply! I've thought the producer of Foster People would have used a vocoder for this smoky, slightly distorted vocals. But Daft Punk use vocoders, don't they? Or do they use just pitchshifting?

Some pictures seems to be missing from the online manual.
Is there any audio demo on your website ?

Yes, it should be fixed. No audio demoes at the moment, shall be in the future, but in this case it's probably going to be a little hard, as vocoder seems more like a "personal" effect.

Just so you know when installing on my 17" Macbook Pro 4,1 with 10.6.8 I kept getting the following error:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/28602715/masteringbundle_error.jpg
The installer would then quite out saying the install was not completed.

I tried a restart and repairing file permissions to no avail.
In the end I completed the install was to delete all the Melda Mastering Bundle files from the library/audio/plug-ins/components and re-tried the install. It worked.

Nice optimizations on the Granular plugin BTW. Running very smoothly in Reaper now!

Oj, I haven't heard about this error for quite a while! It always helps to delete the plugins, but why it cannot be done by the installer I don't know, probably because Mac OS adds some "alien" files into the packages, but who knows.

I simply can't get this working.

How do I feed the sound I want to "vocode" with another. Please don't just say via sound-chain, let me know in detail what to do. A video tutorial would be even better if possible..!?

Well, I'm afraid the answer really is "via sidechain" Smile. What host are you using?

So, that means that we can vocode stero sources ?
Nice.

Do you have any plan to add a chorus and an integrated synth ?

Sure! I didn't even know it normally isn't possible Smile. Well, here you can use 8 channels if you want... Smile

Note really, you can do that in MXXX and this would seem like a feature duplication.

In most vocoders, you use left channel as the carrier, and right channel as modulator.
Side-chaining is nice, then Smile

Errrh, MXXX seems muuuuuch more than a vocoder, a big modular beast, so i wouldn't call it a "feature duplication", it is 2 different things Smile
