Hi,my name is spurt. codec spurt.
I'm a recovering vstaholic. I've taken the 12 step program. This is how far i got so far. Step 1: We can't talk about step one - it's banned - it's a bit like fight club.. Step 2: When I did get my hands on all those lovely lovely vsts, I realised I didn't know htf to use them. Step 3: I paired down. I thought ok: 20 drum machines and 30 virtual synths should be enough for any sane man. Step 4: I realised I was wrong. Step 5: I paired it down to 10 drum machines and 20 virtual synths. I thought this would help. Step 6: I realised I was still wrong. Step 7: I paired it down to 3 drum machines and 5 synths. Hoping this would help. Step 8: I'm here five years later, still don't have a clue how any of them work. Step 9: Joined KVR for advice on what is the best...? Step 10: Realised this was the biggest mistake ever of my musical career. Step 11: Stopped listening to people ranting at KVR. Step 12: Gave up the ghost, realised I was never going to figure out how any of it really worked so started buying more plugins. Back to square one really. Still haven't got a clue. Never make any music. Things have got so bad I gave up drugs to feed my habit. One day i'll sort it out. Finish a track. Might even have enough money then to start buying drugs again... It's a habit. But I can handle it... Welcome to the jungle! ---- "I guess once a junkie, always a junkie." - Bruce Swedien. |

What you say makes a lot of sense. I've heard it a thousand times before. Tell it to the judge! Then again, I did hear your stuff is very good. Do you have a contact no. perchance. I think we might be able to do business. Not an AU man myself, but shit brother, this VST Stuff just doesn't do the job anymore, I just can't the same buzz as I had when I first installed Drumatic3 - God that was a HIGH I can tell you. Of course it was free at first. Now, I have just about every drum product FXpansion ever made - don't get me wrong - they are top quality, but I need them just to stay stable. It's just not the same. They say AUs provide a bigger hit. Will I have to buy a MAC for that. A couple more houses and garden sheds, lawnmowers mainly plus a few cutting tools and I'm good to go. I love KVR, you get to meet all the best connected people. PM me Yah! Code: CAKE!
