im guessing based on the names that you are after specific FL Studio advice, and theres WAY too much to go into in one post. Quite a few of the questions are handled by the FL Help so give it a read.. oh and you'll get better FL specific answers on the Image Line forum.

Dang - that's alot of questions. I'll answer one. Firtsly - I'd recommend never to use a frequency analyzer! It makes people lazy - you should listen - not look! If there is a frequency that bothers you in a sound - use a search method - i.e - take a single EQ band and put the Q(sometimes called resonance) on high(sharp) - now push the gain up as far as possible - and sweep though all the frequencies until you find that annoying frequency - now just EQ it out. Also about Q(resonance) - use less Q when boosting frequencies - and higher Q when cutting. Also - music is about balance - if you would like more bass on an bass instrument - rather consider cutting bass on another instrument - rather than adding bass. Every instrument needs it's own space - it's commonly called - frequency seperation. Only boost frequencies if you really have to. Lastly - you should ALWAYS eq with all instruments playing if possible. The "solo button" is not your friend.
Hope that helps a bit. Andrew |

Don't mean to be rude at all here, but there's way too much substance & interrogations to answer in a one forum post. I suggest you to start with the basics, which seem to really lack by the look of your questions, dive into your DAW manual to get the basic concepts of audio plugins and search on different music production websites. These subjects are very easy to find on the web and they're often discussed & explained with lot of detail and tutorials as well. ---- __________________________________________________ http://soundcloud.com/red-fog http://soundcloud.com/sleeping-on-lotus-ashes http://landofthedrones.blogspot.ca/ __________________________________________________ |

OP is a just a list of audio terms asking "Please define this as it relates to Benassi."
Is it rude to say rtfm? Do people still say that? Do people still do that? Not that it would necessarily apply or help, but it is the proper response. Very very often you will find out what the knobs do by reading the documentation that comes with the device. What does it sounds like? Listening is a good source for that information. How to 'do it perfect', well thats why forums like this are so popular... |

Read the knobs and the beginner info on the image line forums.
If you have a license for FL studio you should be able to access the forums. ---- I run a netlabel http://oligopolistrecords.bandcamp.com Free chill, hip-hop, lo-fi, ambient, experimental, for you! (Send me demos too!) |

yobare wrote: ok thnx for the response still. Il try to find on youtube and see if i can find anything You've basically put up a single forum post asking how to become an audio engineer. It will take you a lot of study and practice. Break it down and learn one thing at a time. It won't be easy---you'll have to dedicate yourself to the process of learning.---- Yes! |

Crap like that only does one of two things. Pisses them off, or makes them feel stupid. In this case, the OP doesn't seem to deserve either. |

He did ask for an explanation of what basically every single effect type does (at least the major ones). That was asking a lot. ---- Yes! |

The OP has worked on his own synthedit plugin. If he can use synthedit and construct a custom GUI, surely he knows how AT LEAST half of these things work. Beyond that, the cries of RTFM are because the original post is basically saying:
Tell me how everything works. This is a little beyond the scope of a forum question. If there's something specific and targeted, like how to "sidechain" in FL studio, then it would probably be answered with care, but it's obvious that the OP either doesn't have the manual and an FL studio license with which to learn more via image-line, or is simply to lazy to learn the basic features of his DAW. Once he does "RTM", and still has questions relating to what the manual doesn't cover, myself and many others would surely be pleased to help! ---- I run a netlabel http://oligopolistrecords.bandcamp.com Free chill, hip-hop, lo-fi, ambient, experimental, for you! Type each effect type into youtube and also use wikipedia re watch them a few times.
The Fab Filter youtube vids for compression and limiting are very easy to understand. Soundtoys PDF manuals are very educational for effects. |
